Happy Birthday

We are so blessed that God has placed the care of your sweet little soul in our hands.

I didn't get as many non-cake pictures as I'd hoped, but the hubs was done placing and replacing Camille. This is the age of B U S Y ! I had Camilley bug (our nickname for her) on a fluffy white blanket and all she wanted to do was crawl off and hit the paper backdrop. I've seen old wooden highchairs painted in a distressed color to contain the little people for portraits. Maybe next kid. Does anybody have one they want to donate to the cause?

I got a TON of cake pictures! The minute we set the cake out in front of Camille she touched it and crawled off.

Not. Interested.

Charlie ran to the kitchen to get a plate and fork thinking it was her turn. The big kids couldn't stop asking when they were going to get a piece. Once Camille figured out she could eat that gorgeous cupcake from Peace, Love, & Pastries she enjoyed herself. Two of the neighborhood kids even showed up to watch. They all thought "smashing" a cake was pretty cool. I think 5 kids watching her, Denis grumbling while placing and replacing her, and the crazy momma was NOT the right combination to get Camille looking at the camera. Denis and I worked super hard while the other kids very impatiently waited. There was so much going on! She never did dig into the cake. Denis had to cut out a piece and set it by her. That's really all she ate. I was hoping she would really smash it. Maybe we should have let the other kids jump in and help her. I thought about it; after the fact. You can tell how much fun she had though.

I only have a few favorites. However, I included way more pictures in this post than necessary. She's just so perfect I couldn't resist. They aren't all technically correct in composition, lighting, contrast, clarity etc. But I don't care. She's mine. She's adorable.
